What things bring you joy?
3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance; 3 Knowing this,that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 3 For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.
4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 4 And let steadfastness haveits full effect, that you may be perfectand complete, lacking in nothing. 4 and let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking in nothing. 4 But let patience have her perfectwork, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you willbe perfect and complete, needing nothing.
2 Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles (trials) of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. 3 For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
Trail or trouble = peirasmos (pe-er-ras-mos) NOT temptation like being led to sin.
