THE ARK OF THE COVENANT

In the O.T. God has sent forth Revelation of divine TRUTH, in three distinct Arks:

The ark of Noah

made of gopher wood, It speaks most of and about preservation. For in it 8 souls & animals were saved from the waters of “death.”

A. the ark has three levels. One entrance.

2. The Ark of Moses:

Exodus 2

Exodus 2:3–6 ESV

When she could hide him no longer, she took for him a basket made of bulrushes and daubed it with bitumen and pitch. She put the child in it and placed it among the reeds by the river bank. And his sister stood at a distance to know what would be done to him. Now the daughter of Pharaoh came down to bathe at the river, while her young women walked beside the river. She saw the basket among the reeds and sent her servant woman, and she took it. When she opened it, she saw the child, and behold, the baby was crying. She took pity on him and said, “This is one of the Hebrews’ children.”

It was a preservation for Baby Moses to protect him for the waters of DEATH.

The word “TEBAH” is used the same as the ark of Noah & Moses.

The Ark was given many names in the O.T.

Exodus 25:10 ESV

“They shall make an ark of acacia wood. Two cubits and a half shall be its length, a cubit and a half its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height.

And let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell in their midst.

exodus 25:

Shittim - incorruptilble wood.

Jesus came and dies for our sins as the root of the dry ground.

isaiah

Isaiah 53:2 ESV

For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him.

GOLD

Exodus 25:11 ESV

You shall overlay it with pure gold, inside and outside shall you overlay it, and you shall make on it a molding of gold around it.
