34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
We are in the last week of our series, “ I Love My Church” and thats’ God’s church
34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
We have learned about the 11th commandment to love one another and when you love you help others in need.
The first week we learned to - Love by connecting
We should connect people to a God who saves, restores, redeems and renews
Week 2 - We need to - Love by giving - community
We need to go inside before we go out, deal with ourselves and our tents
Week 3 - Love by serving - good samaritan
So this week we are going to talk about - Love is SHARING
-8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
Isn’t it fun and enjoyable to share? How much more of a God who cares and loves and heals?
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!
Why share? People need - Help - Hope - Healing
Here’s the question we have to consider in our series: How do people come to this new life with God? How do people hear and discover, how do they experience the kingdom of God?

13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. 14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

God entrust us to build His Kingdom...

Salt brings taste.
It is a flavoring agent. It brings taste to bland food.
It preserves. Someone gives you a plate of food really not up to snuff and what are the first words out of your mouth? “Can you please pass the salt?”
People are looking for meaning and purpose and the world can’t give it to you only God can.
- 9 For He satisfies the longing soul, And fills the hungry soul with goodness.
So don’t miss what Jesus is telling us in this metaphor. He is making it clear how necessary and important we are for the welfare of the world. Because we have experienced a transformation in our lives as we have come to the kingdom of heaven, now our presence is necessary as God’s means of influencing the world for good. Regardless of status or profession, the kingdom life that we possess is invaluable for the effect it will have in our daily circles of influence.

You are the light of the world. ()
In Jesus’ time they had small wicker oil lamps, which gave little light in the average home that had few windows;
In Jesus’ time they had small wicker oil lamps, which gave little light in the average home that had few windows; they were most effective when set on a lampstand. Even the smallest of lights lifted up can chase away darkness. Light removes the darkness. In the same way that Jesus’ life and message of salvation brought light to us (), His disciples are a living demonstration of the arrival of the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus ministry began… 16 The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.”
So don’t miss this metaphor either:
16 The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light,
Light removes the darkness.
And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death
We not only carry the light of the gospel of the kingdom of God, but we are that light.
Light has dawned.”
Because of the work of the Spirit in our lives, our transformation has produced kingdom light in us, affecting every aspect of our being, turning us into positive influencers in this sin-darkened world.
As salt and light, we bring the taste and atmosphere of Jesus’ kingdom to our world
When we intentionally love one another, when we intentionally use our gifting and live out the love of God toward one another and to the world outside these walls,
As salt and light, we bring the taste and atmosphere of Jesus’ kingdom to our world
We are salting the bland and bringing light to the darkness. Saying “I love my church” isn’t just about us, doesn’t just impact us; it’s about everyone outside these walls as well.
Those who have truly experienced Jesus will help others experience Jesus.

I hope that if we’ve learned anything over these last few weeks, we’ve learned that loving the church isn’t about the building, it’s not about the programs.
It’s about relationships—primarily our relationship with God but also our relationships with one another.

How many of you are truly thankful for what Jesus has done in your lives?
We need to share it…
The church can no longer just sit on the sidelines and watch the worlds misery...
Jerome Moody, 31, was found on the bottom at the deep end of a New Orleans Recreation Department pool at the end of the party. He was not a lifeguard but it was an end of season party for over 100 such guards. He was not found until lifeguards were clearing the pool at the party’s end.
Who drowning in your pool or sphere of influence?
It’s not cramming religion or your beliefs on them, it’s simply giving them a life line.
I want us to be a soul conscious minded church, I want us to have God’s heart and Jesus vision, Jesus says , “I have come to seek and save the lost.”
Close… bring up cards and pray over the lost soul it represents
