(To be like Gods)

The Father has been commanded not to experiment on humans (eat from the tree), but he is overcome by the desire for success that he tries the serum on himself.
Shortly after that his wife becomes pregnant and he finds out that the serum has altered his DNA and was passed onto his son.*

#2 the Cure:*

He is afraid and wants to spare his son the suffering and tries to kill him.
An accident happens and his wife is killed instead, he ends up in prison for 30 years and the little boy goes to an orphanage and is later adopted into a family.
He has a new name and thinks his father and mother are dead.*
