Grace required Jesus to suffer for our salvation and grace will lead us through suffering for our transformation.—Paul David Tripp
Today He is the Resurrected Savior!
Christ did not just die for sin, He rose victorious over sin, death, Hell and and the grave. The one who believes on Christ to salvation must not only understand that Christ died for their sin but also know that He has risen from the grave in victory over sin. This should motivate the Christian to live for Christ and continually share Him.
He is Risen!
He is Risen!
1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn towards the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
2 And behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
4 and for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
Matthew 28:1-8
v. 2 As a victory lap, the angel came and moved the stone away and sat on it! How cool is that?
V. 3-4 the keepers (i.e.guards) shook and left for fear.
v. 5-7 He is Risen! Go tell people!
V. 8 They left quickly and did that, but people did believe.
They are in Denial!
They are in Denial!
8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.
11 Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.
12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,
It seems like no one wants to believe He is alive. The chief priest understood and honostly it seems, in some sick way, he had faith that Christ was risen from the dead. He gave the soldiers money to change their story.
9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
10 And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.
11 And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.
12 After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country.
13 And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them.
14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

These folks were in denial. I think we often do this in areas of faith. I saw a video, that I will be showing to you all in the next weeks, about how a church treats the newly saved or very zealous soul winner. Churches are sometimes more a hinderance to the gospel than they care to admit.
Believe it and be Saved!
Believe it and be Saved!
mk 16:14-16
14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
v. 14—upbraided them— Christ literally reproached them for their unbelief, and then gave them the call to reach all the world with the truth—I AM RISEN!
10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: When thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, He shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: By his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; For he shall bear their iniquities.
11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: By his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; For he shall bear their iniquities.
Satisfaction was purchased by the blood of Christ and the proof of that is in the resurrection of Christ. If the end of the gospel is that Christ died on the cross then we are believing in a rejected Lord. Rejected by His people, Rejected by world, Rejected by the government and Rejected by God the Father. The gospel does not stop at rejection but rather its culmination is in the Resurrection of the savior. We do not serve a dead savior but a risen one!
Grace required Jesus to suffer for our salvation and grace will lead us through suffering for our transformation.—Paul David Tripp
12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
14 and if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
17 and if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
9 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
He is not just risen from among those who are dead but He is risen victoriously from death itself!!!
