Text: – “And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, He said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit:
Theme: “There’s No Better Place”
In the last several hours of His life, Jesus in his human condition had been in the hands of wicked men who did all they could to destroy Him. The one whose hands healed the sick, cast out demons, and raised the dead, the one who fixed everyone else’s problem is now in a situation where his natural life was about to end and He has to secure a place for His spirit. Before He dies, the Lord opens His mouth one last time and musters up enough strength, and the text says that He cried out with a loud voice not a cry of defeat, in the original Greek it is a shout!! In His final shout, Jesus shows us that if we submit ourselves to God, make a sacrifice for God, will find security in God!
om a physiological and medical perspective, Jesus’s condition would have made it extremely difficult to breathe and to speak, but this wasn’t His first shout from the cross! The enemy may have destroyed His body, but he did not destroy His voice! The enemy can attack your mind, he can attack your body, he can attack you finances and even your family, but as long as you have a voice, you can call on God, worship God and praise God as a matter of fact, the bible says that all you need is breath and you can praise Him!!!!
