Sermon Tone Analysis

*1 Cor 2:7-12*

7 No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.

8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

9 However, as it is written: "No eye has *seen*, no ear has *heard*, no mind has *conceived* what God has prepared *for those who love him*"-- 10 but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him?

In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.

*Why would God hide these things?*

1.

The Devil has no right to the things of God.

a.

You can also store things in Gods store house so that the devil can’t get to it.

How? Give!

2.      unto our glory *God did not hide it from us, but for us!*

3.      We have to change the way we think.

We cannot get the things of God into our lives with the natural methods.

God has put a supernatural security system on his treasue house.

We have to do it his way to get what he has stored there for us.

19 I will give you *the keys of the kingdom of heaven*; whatever you bind (lock) on earth will be bound (locked) in heaven, and whatever you loose (unlock) on earth will be loosed (unlocked) in heaven."

*Revelation Knowledge of God! Who do YOU say that I am!*

 

*John 16:23-27*

23 In that day you will no longer ask me anything.

I tell you the truth, my Father will give you *whatever you ask in my name*.

24 Until now you have not asked for anything *in my name*.

Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

25 "Though I have been speaking figuratively, a time is coming when I will no longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly about my Father.

26 *In that day you will ask in my name*.

I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf.

27 No, *the Father himself loves you because you have loved me* and *have believed that I came from God*.

Ø  When you have the keys, you have the authority!

Ø  *Combination Lock (Tumbler, Electronic, Car code-key) *

 

*Deut 29:29* The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but *the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever,* *that we may follow* all the words of this law.

Ø  We don’t like conditions do we?

Do you know Grace is conditional?

I did not say it was earned, I said conditional.

Position, Faith and Obedience!

*1Joh 5:14*  And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing *according to his will*, he hears us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

v  It's not only important that we have the right numbers, but also the right order.

v  When we have the combination and the order, we have access to what is locked away

Ø  *Time Lock *

v  In some banks there are large safes with time locks on them.

There may be a key and a combination also.

But until the appointed time it still will not open.

God’s plan is more important than ours.

Sometimes God will tell us something years before he releases it, so that we can get ready for it.

*God's plan as our father*

*Acts 1:6-8*

6 So when they met together, they asked him, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?" 7 He said to them: *"It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.*

8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

*Gal 4:1-2 *1 What I am saying is that as long *as the heir is a child*, *he is no different from a slave*, although he owns the whole estate.

2 He is subject to guardians and *trustees until the time set by his father*.

v  The holy spirit as a good teacher reveals things to us as we need it.

o   The worst thing that God could do was bless us before we are ready!

Ø  *We can choose how much we unlock and lock up.

The depth of our relationship with Jesus

2.             Our faith and knowledge of his Word

3.             Our faith and Patience in our Father

 

 

*Pray: He has prepared all that you need for your bodies, souls and spirits.

He has prepared for you personally, your family, your church, your city, your country.

But don’t let it remain hidden in the treasure house of heaven.*
