John 20: 26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” 28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

·         Though the doors were locked

o   The doors of Opportunity

§  Many of us feel like life is passing us by, like we have missed the train of life. That we have not been given the opportunities that others have. Well the fact is very few have been given anything except the opportunity to work hard!

§

·         Peace be with you

o   I give peace that no one else can give.

§  Not dependant on circumstances.

§  It’s a gift

·         Experience it yourself, “stop doubting and believe”

o   You will NEVER really know what Jesus has for you if you stay in the land of Theory

§  Reach out and put YOUR hand into it… Get involved with more than words

o   Stop doubting and believe

§  Action is the first sign of faith, believing (Barrel across the tight rope!)

·         “My Lord and my God!”

o   Because you have seen me!

§  Many want Jesus to appear in their bedrooms before they believe.

·         See a miracle

·         Experience the supernatural, spectacular!

·         Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

o   Pure faith is…doing without seeing!

§  We all get weary in this world we live in, weary of the fast moving, producing, almost what seems the miraculous pace of science, etc…

§  Not only blessed, but HAPPY!
