The Sermon on Missionary Work

Wow! Great news, you have been given the power to heal, raise the dead, and kick out demons. But wait…there is a cost. Your lifestyle must change.There shall be no badgering of people to get them to have faith, it shall be done with humility and as a servant. Go out into your neighborhoods without all that pomp and circumstance. Empty your wallets, take only the clothes on your back. Be prepared because your friends and family may hate you for this, just be confident that you have the ability to solely rely on God for all your personal needs. Get ready to endure some pretty terrible hardships, possibly even go to jail for sharing Jesus with others.

How very different from the life we all currently live in. Instead of wealth they were to chose poverty and dependence. Instead of honor and praise, you get maligned and persecuted.
