Leadership Training Saturday 21.10.06

  • Session 1 09:00-10:00
    • Establishing the need for leaders
      • God called us all to use his authority which requires us to be leaders in life.
      • Being under God’s authority is what releases his leadership abilities/gifts into our lives.
      • Abilities function best and according to their original/purest form under the authority of God.
      • His authority/will sets the limitations of my abilities.
    • Excuses…Ro 4:18-20
      • Who God is...God + anything is a + / Anything – God is a minus
      • A Relationship with God
      • What others think …the fear of man is a snare
      • Who supplies the abilities
      • Avoidance
      • What are your reasons that you find leading difficult?
    • Leaders perceive a need
    • Leaders have a gift
      • Hindrances
        • Bad attitude
        • Poor people skills
        • Lack of personal discipline
    • Leaders parade a passion
    • Leaders pursue a people
    • Leaders pursue a purpose
    • Self evaluation

  • Session 2 10:15 - 11:15
    • The Heart of a leader – These are goal and ideals to reach for do not be discouraged
    • Go through each 12 points
    • Do self test at the end 1-10
      • 5 & under work on the most
      • 6 and above keep improving

 

  • Session 3 11:30 - 12:30
    • I have a dream – vision/purpose
    • Birth of a vision 1&2 =3-5
    • Man made vs. God given
      • Sometime we have to begin to know the difference, make adjustments along the way.
    • Practical steps to fulfilling the vision

1.    Do something, don’t wait

2.    Communicate what you know, it will help to hear what it sounds like and encourage others to respond and add their wisdom, lessons learned, etc…

3.    Be realistic about the human resources that you have available to you

4.    Limitations and abilities

5.    Don’t avoid the uncomfortable; it may be the beginning of a burden.

6.    Don’t assume you understand the need, get a God diagnosis

7.    Go to God, for the course of action

8.    Assume that your team you choose is carrying your vision inside them.

9.    Release them to do what can be done now.
