The Bible clearly tells us that there is a time and a place for everything in our lives.
EVERYTHING, has a time and a place.
My wife tells me all of the time that, within our house, their is most definitely a PLACE for everything and that I have limited amount of TIME to get it there!
It is really hard to wrap our minds around how much can happen in just an hour, a minute, or even a second, each and every day of our lives, right?!
For instance, in just one minute:
Over 6 million chemical reactions are happening within every cell of your body.
We lose up to 40,000 dead cells off the surface of our skin, which is roughly one million a day.
Sadly, 105 people in the world die in the world. (At the same time there are 250 births)
Around the world, 21,000 pizzas are baked and film goers will eat well over a ton of popcorn/minute!
There are two million Google searches.
Globally, 59 weddings take place per minute, so vows are exchanged just about once a second.
Every minute the Earth is hit 300 times by lightning.
There will be five earthquakes.
The average American household median income is around $.45 per minute. To give you some perspective on earnings per minute, Bill Gates earns around, $23,148 per minute!
55,757 barrels of oil are used each minute!
Over 60 tons of edible food is thrown away in the United States every minute of every day!
My point here is that, our lives are basically just moments in time. And what we do in these moments and how we react and the how we make decisions within those moments in time have lasting impacts upon our lives as well as the lives of others. (Both now, as well as the eternal!)
How quickly things can change in a moment’s time. One moment your on top of the world and the next thing you know, you are on rock bottom.
One moment you are serving burgers at a fast food chain and another moment in time, you own that particular chain!
One moment you are the student and the next moment you are the teacher!
And on and on it goes!
As there is a time and a place for everything, so are there appointed moments in that time in which we make decisions and we react and then we live in the time and seasons of our lives that follow!
Sow and reap, plant and harvest!
This weekend we, the body of Christ, all over the world, are looking back and remembering a particular moment in time, some 2,000 years ago.
