God/Yahweh—David longs for fellowship with the Lord. Like longing for water while in the desert.
David has an appetite for God

Soul—in Hebrew it represents the entire body. EVERYTHING about David longs for the Lord.

Instead of being haunted by nightmares, David reflects on past things that the Lord has done. JOURNAL.
Dwelling on God’s actions helps David swell up to sing. With the Lord there is fellowship and protection.

Do you know how Beautiful He is? 2-3/9-10

David describes something like . He has seen the Lord. In many ways David is a prophet. Acts confirms this.
David worships the Creator God. The King of the Earth who has covenanted with his people. He dwells with them.
Hesed—David knows the Lord and is persuaded He can save. Therefore David praises Him.
What do think is beautiful? What do you praise because it/they are there for you?

Do you trust that the Lord alone can save? 4-5/11
Opposite of beautiful is ugly. The opposite of the people of the living God is those who oppose him. They will not stand. They will be destroyed. The Lord is a Divine Warrior.

David commits to praising the Lord, even if he must endure hardships the rest of his life. Can we join him in that commitment or is there something else we are trying to compete with God?
David Praises God because he anticipates deliverance. Do you know what deliverance you have waiting for you?
