Tithing is for us

Many say “Tithing is just a part of the law. Not for us.”

Tithing was hundreds of years before the law

Abraham:
Genesis 14:18–20 KJV 1900
And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
Genesis 14:18 KJV 1900
And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.
Taba Shalemkaa raajaa Melkisedek roTi ra daakhamag liera aae; Ani tini sarbochcha Parameswarkaa pujaahari thie. Ani sarbachha Parameswar dhanyakaa houn, jasle tapaaikaa shatru-haru-laai tapaaiko haatmaa sumpi-dinu-bhayo.” Ani Abraamle tinlaai sabai thokharuko sashaau an’sha die.
Jacob:
Genesis 28:22 KJV 1900
And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.
Ani yo dungaa, jaslaai maile khaa’bojhai khadaa gareko chhu, Parameswarko ghar baninechha; Ani tapaaile maile je dinuhunechha, ti sabvaiko dashaau bhaag ma nishchaya tyapaai-laai dinechhu.”

Tithing was commanded after the law

Law = from Moses to John the Baptist
John 1:17 KJV 1900
For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
Kinabhane Moshaa-duaaraa byabasthaa diieko thiyo, tara anugraha ra satyataa-chaahi’ Yeshu KhrishT-duaaraa aae.
Luke 16:16 KJV 1900
The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

Jesus commanded people to tithe:
Luke 11:42 KJV 1900
But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Tara pharisiharuho, timiharulaai chhikkaar! Kinabhane timiharu pudinaa, sudaaba ra sabai prakaarkaa saagapaat-kaa dasaau a’sha dinchhaau, tara tyaaya ra Paramesarko premlaai baastaa gardainaau; Yi kuraa-haru-laai timi-haru-le garnai-parthyo.
Before the law
In the law
After the law

There is great danger in not tithing

Malachi 3:8–9 KJV 1900
Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, Even this whole nation.
Malachi 3:8 KJV 1900
Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

God’s curse affects us in many ways:
Deuteronomy 28:15–19 KJV 1900
But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field. Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store. Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

Deuteronomy 14:22–23 KJV 1900
Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year. And thou shalt eat before the Lord thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the Lord thy God always.

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Ma aaja swarga ra prithbilaai timiharuko birodhmaa saakshi raakhdachhu, ki maile timro samu jiban ra mrityu, aashish ra shraap rakhidieko chhu; Yaskaaran jiban chun, taba timi jiunechhaau - timi ra timraa santaan;
