Review from Last week.

Ø  I want to fall more in Love with Jesus!  ….I want to fall more in Love with you!

Rom 12:9-21 (Key Bible verses)

Ø  In respect of agapao as used of God, it expresses the deep and constant "love" and interest of a perfect Being towards entirely unworthy objects, producing and fostering a reverential "love" in them towards the Giver, and a practical "love" towards those who are partakers of the same, and a desire to help others to seek the Giver.

Love is identified by an  action taken by the giver, not a prompted response because of the receiver. I.e. We were and never will be worthy of God’s love, but that is love not that we loved him, but that he loved us.

Ø  I Jn 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him. (KJV)

When did he start loving us? After Jesus was resurrected? When the sin problem was taken care of?

Eph 1:3-9

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will-- 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace 8 that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. 9 And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, (NIV)

Eph 2:4-6

4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions-- it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, (NIV)

1 Cor 13:1-13 (Key Bible verses)

1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love(God), I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love(God), I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love(God), I gain nothing.

4 Love (God etc…) is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12 Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. (NIV)

Ø  1 Cor. 13:4-8 Do you know that this is how God is toward us?

o   He is not Growing in Love, he is Love!

o   His Love toward us makes us Holy in his eyes and our fellowship with Him makes us Holy in our eyes! holy and blameless in his sight 1 Jn 1:5-10

Our love toward others will make them Holy in our eyes and their fellowship with us will make them draw close to the one who makes us Holy!

Growing in Love

Ø  The process of growing up and no longer being Children.  1Cor.1:1-3 This will be a process that we have to take on purpose. Growing up toward a face to face relationship with God.

Ø  If I give you 1 million Dollars and say here this is for you. What do you do? You begin to thank me and look at me with Gratitude etc.. But what if I suddenly said this is not from me but from Saša? You will turn your affection to him. Right?

Ø  That is the difference between God’s Love and Man’s.

o   God’s love will be unconditional, eternal, supernatural, but most of all will draw a person to him.

o   Man’s love is conditional, temporary, and will draw men to themselves.

Ø  Father give us a revelation of your Love for us. ( a revelation is not something that goes from the head to the heart, But from the heart to the head!)

2 Cor 5:14-20

14 For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.

15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. 16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. (TLB) (2 Cor 5:16 So stop evaluating Christians by what the world thinks about them or by what they seem to be like on the outside. Once I mistakenly thought of Christ that way, merely as a human being like myself. How differently I feel now!)

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. (TLB) (2 Cor 5:20      We are Christ's ambassadors. God is using us to speak to you: we beg you, as though Christ himself were here pleading with you, receive the love he offers you-- be reconciled to God. )

Ø  Pray to receive Jesus!
