We are saved because we chose to turn away from darkness and came to the light- we came out of rebellion and stepped into Obedience and the Love and fear of God.
That´s a good Beginning- but ....
Let´s Look at rebellion- what is Rebellion?
-Fighting against Authority, refusing to acept Rules- choosing to behave differently
The world is full of rebellion- My way- my rights- my life – No one wants to come under Authority
The SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST!!!!! 2. Thessalonians 2-8 Opposing- exalting self!
In Chapter 3 he starts talking about obedience and „commanding“ Verses 4,6,10,12,14,
We don´t like the sound of that word even! OBEDIENCE!!!
It sounds like bondage to us, like control and prison
What is the definition of Obedience?
The act of obeying orders from someone in position of authority or power- or willingness to obey their orders
Another word closely related to obedience is submission!
Definition: a submissive person is willing to or tends to submit to other peoples will or demands and rules
The thought alone is scary – we are afraid to be manipulated, hurt and controlled.
Jesus set us free from the Bondage of sin and fear and he says:
Matthew 11 ,28-30
Message translation and King James -My yoke is easy!!!
What do we learn from Jesus?
- He was obiedient unto death on the cross- he listen to his father and did what he said! He shows us that obidience is an Action Word!
- He did not have good intentions only- we think it´s the same! Delaying things will not lead you into obedience!
Deciples left their nets immediately and followed Jesus Math 4, 18
Matth. 8,19 EXCUSES!!!!
There is pressure on the narrow path!
Emotions is not the same as Obedience either!
All week we argue with God and in Church we say : Have your way in me!
Why do we want to be led by the spirit if we are not willing to follow?
Sometimes we were treated wrong by authority – but we need to trust god and people again!
Don´t build walls around yourself saying“I´m not going to listen to anyone!
(Church service- don´t leave or talk please)
Do you believe God loves you? Then trust him and obey him!
God wants us to have an overflowing life and lead us into good things !
Ivan talked about the aboundant life in God.
1. Korith. 2, 9 God has prepared good things for those that love him - if you love me you obey me!
Many people in the bible are examples of beeing blessed as an result of their obedience. NOAH, ABRAHAM;DANIEL
Many of us don´t have what we desire and see in the Word because we are not obedient to God
We want everything to be put on us through prayer but God teaches and trains us so we can grow up and have a good life.
God wants us safe! He set boarders and Guidlines- everything we need to live a good life! The Children of God are not immune against evil if we choose to play with it!
Rebellion brings curse! Hebr 28,15, Hebr 13,7, Romans 13
Our Flesh does not want to do what´s right
God teaches us to have good Attitude- the little things! At school, at work,etc
We walk around with an guilty evil concoins – deep inside we know it´s not right! We get grumpy – we have no confidence when we pray !
Every time God tells you to do something that´s hard it´s like a radical seed! We are always sowing seeds- the whole ´Kingdom of God is like a seed. What are you sowing?
Many are still bound or bound again because of disobidience!
Obedience leads us out of Bondage step by step! Often it´s not the way we would do it, but it honors god! Still some people will not do what they need to do!And they wonder why they are still sick and unhappy
We need to care about what God thinks! In everything we do
1. Peter4, 1+2 : Beeing willing to suffer in the flesh- saying NO to self!
You will then never intentionally disobey God!
Some might say now: But I don´t know what God wants me to do and I can´t hear his voice! I want to do his will but I can´t hear him!
OH,Oh!!!
What about his written Word? Are you doing what you know?
Are you a student of his word?
The holy Spirit makes his word alive to you
- God speaks his word in your heart
- Audible voice of God does not happen that often
- God said- God said God said!!! There´s lots of voices in the world!Super goofy people in Church- Goofy does not equal godly!
- Dont´ run your live through Prophecys and Dreams- put them on the shelf and don´t try to make them happen
- Don´t try to hear from God through other people only!
- Still small voive in ordenary things 1 Kings 19 , inner Wittness, you just know! Don´t be led by outward signs!
- Stressfull lifestyle make it a challenge to hear from God
- God leads by giving us peace Col, 3,5: Ups, you should have not said that!
- He leads by wisdom and common sense! In
- RELATIONSHIPS; MONEY MATTERS; HEALTH ISSUES ( MY Kidneys)
- 1. Korinth 6,12 : God lets us decide in many things!
Obedience brings blessings , security ,peace and sucess into our lives! We will grow and our anointing will increase.
Disobiedience hinders what god wants to do in your live , in the church and in the nation. It shows disrespect to god and leads us into bondage.
God spoke to us about making him Lord over our lives about positioning us this year!
If we are not under Authority we can´t walk in Authority
If we are not walking in Authority we can not pray with Authority
If we can not pray with Authority our prayers are weak
Obedience is Good – Its a God thing that leads us into freedom
God is kind but not soft! Romans 2! In his kindness he leads us bz the hand and leads us into a radical lifechange! We are not getting by with anything ! He is a good father! Why do we call him Lord lord if we do not do what he says? Luke 6,46 A Foundation that can not be shaken! ( Sheep mail)
Obedience keeps us out of sin and death! Romans 8!
