There is an attack against the body of Christ today. It´s an attack that has been going on for centuries, but has intensified in the last twenty years.  I am led often to search out the scriptures about the last days, because I believe we are getting close to the end.

The antichrist will not suddenly show up and try to change the world. The spirit of antichrist has been around since the apostles. But because the timing of the Lord was not right, he has never been allowed to do very much. In the last few decades his power has increased. The stage is being set for the entrance of the antichrist himself. Knowing how he will rule is very important. He will rule a money dominated world system, where the worth of a person is what he owns. He will control because he will be able to satisfy the longings of a world that only wants to posses more and more stuff. A system that has been centralized into a world system where he can easily control our ability to buy and sell. He wants us so dependant on Mammon as our God and the only one we serve is ourselves that when it is time for him to take rule we will beg him to lead, because he will be the only one in our eyes that can give us what we want.

I Jn 4:2-3

2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses (accepts in covenant and life style) that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesses  (accepts in covenant and life style) not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof you have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. (I Jn. 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as you have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.)

antichristos (an-tee'-khris-tos); an opponent of the Messiah: antichrist.

ANTICHRIST

antichristos  can mean either "against Christ" or "instead of Christ," or perhaps, combining the two, "one who, assuming the guise of Christ, opposes Christ" (Westcott). The word is found only in John's epistles, (a) of the many "antichrists" who are forerunners of the "Antichrist" himself, <1 John 2:18, 22; 2 John 7>; (b) of the evil power which already operates anticipatively of the "Antichrist," <1 John 4:3>

Matt 12:30

He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

n  This spirit is saying that Christ is not the TRUE vine.

I Jn 2:15-18 + 22

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh,(Craving for sensual pleasures) and the lust of the eyes,(greedy longings of the mind) and the pride of life,(security found in one´s own abilities, resources, and earthly things) is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. 18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

1 Tim 6:9-11

9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after(chased after), they have erred(strayed away) from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (torture one´s own soul with sorrow) 11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

2 Tim 3:1-9 + 4:3-4

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. 9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.

2 Tim 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
