A Spiritual awakening is connected with opening your heart to others.

  • Spiritual awakening
    • What do I mean by spiritual awakening?
      • How many have seen the film “Awakenings? Robin Williams is a Dr. in a Mental institution, he one day discovers that there seems to be parts of a patients brain or soul that is not gone but still active, but hidden away. Through a special drug that was developed for something else he is able to awaken all the patients in the ward and it seems like an amazing miracle. To see these people find life again is awesome…The film doesn’t have a happy end the people revert back as the drug no longer works.
      • There have been Spiritual awakenings in the past. Revivals, renewed fervor…

  • Is connected with…
    • It’s not by itself, but connected, caused by, doesn’t exist alone…
    • You cannot have the one without the other.
      • I.e. If your arm were disconnected from your body, could you train it to be a body builders arm? Ridiculous. It has to be connected to fulfill it’s purpose.
    • In the same way A spiritual awakening is connected to something in order for it to be. Exist, function.

  • Opening your heart to others.
    • Open your hearts
      • God spoke to me “There is one door to your heart.”
      • Whatever God wants to bring into the earth he wants to bring it through us.
        • It is like I am the pipe, the conduit between God and the earth.
          • But I though that was Jesus’ job?
            • It is, but who do you think that you are?
              • You are his body, his ambassadors.
                • Ambassadors connect between two countries. In representation of a higher power and authority.
              • I am an Ambassador for the Kingdom of God.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. NIV

Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. NIV

Pr 4:23 (MSG) Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts.

The heart is the pivot point for change in our world!

Communion

Mark 14:22 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks (he received it with Thanks) and broke it (prepared it to share), and gave it (give it away) to his disciples, saying, “Take it; ( this is sharing the Gospel) this is my body (the body of Christ, they have to receive you too).” 23 Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, and they all drank from it. 24 “This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many,” he said to them. 25 “I tell you the truth, I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it anew in the kingdom of God.” NIV
