The Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last

Beginning with the end in mind. What we begin with has to be the seed of what we hope to harvest. You can only reap what you sow.

God sees the core of his creation in every man, the spark of the divine, the image of himself. He carries the hope of eternity in his heart and the love of a father. The God that knows what he has planted and knows what he will harvest.

Matthew 13: 24 Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. 26 When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. 27 “The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’ 28 “‘An enemy did this,’ he replied. “The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ 29 “‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’ ” NIV

He speaks differently –

He speaks as if all things are as they should be (calls things that are not as though they were.)

Whether he is speaking words of Love, promises or encouragement or correction he is speaking like God not like man. He is speaking of what will be and so it is.

He sees differently –

His eyes see what will be when we are in a finished state
These are the eyes of a creator

One sees the lump of clay the creator/artist sees the sculpture, the beautiful thing that he intended to make.
When others see sinners and tax collectors he sees the sick that need a Doctor.

He hears differently –

He hears the intention of our hearts not only the sound of our voices

In the natural world intentions mean very little because by their selves there is no strength to live out these intentions (Ro.7 what I want to do)

But in the ears of God he hears the echoes of what he has planted there, the desires of our hearts, the markings he has made to mark his territory, the memory of Adam before the fall, the sound of is boy in the voice of the Prodigal, the voice of the child in the words of an adult.

Even when the sound of our voices are off key when we sing he hears the song of our hearts.

He touches and is touched differently –

He is easily touch by our weaknesses and infirmities

Empathetic (knows we are like the grass), sensitive(easily touched), observant (knows the number of hairs on our head)

His sense of Taste/smell is different

His sense of taste/smell is original

He knows how things should taste/smell.

Taste and smell are strong enjoyment sensors, indicators.

ours is subjectively trained

We develop; acquire our tastes according to what we are fed.
