Growing Up

CIT: Have joy in every part of life, the good and bad help you grow.

CIS: Growing comes out of the challenges of life.

SO: Kids will learn that no matter what they face to take joy in God.

SM - What do you like to do for fun? What is the hardest thing you have ever had to do? What did you learn after having to do that?

We – I want to spend all my time at recess…who’s with me? We like it when its all fun and games. Give me something hard to do and I say “do I have to?” It is nice to take the easy road, but is it always the right way.

T.S. - Tests are important…faith is important…This put together produce perseverance.

steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc.,especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement.

Bible -

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Pure Joy - True joy not just a fake face.

All hard times! These tests prove our faith.

You – want to be the best you can be, take every test and know that it will make you a better follower of Jesus. The test of knowing if your getting older is maturing and when your faith is tested you have a choice to step up to the plat or walk away. Who will you be?

We – This is one of the hardest things to do in our lives to believe even when everything is going wrong that our faith is growing into what God wants us to be. We grow through hard times and if we learn know to have joy in those times there is nothing in this world that will ever come in your way.

PRAY - Lord teach me to take joy in every part of my life starting today.
