Baby Deadication

Welcome everyone to the service
Deut
Deuteronomy 6:4–7 ESV
4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
This baby dedication service does not have any spiritual impact on Thaddeus In the privious verse God comands a few things
parents need to love God if they want their children to love God, The lives of parents must be an example to Children
The duity of teaching Children belongs to the parents, there are many other sourses that your child can learn from, but it ultemetly falls on your sholders.
The puropse of the service today is for Ben and Autumn to publiclly dedicate Thaddeus and themselves to God, in frount of God and everyone here.

Service

tells us:
Psalm 127:3 ESV
3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.
Children belong to God, just as each one of us belongs to God. as Parents you have a great responsibility of caring for this gift from God. but it is not just a responsibility, it is also a privilage. Because of the fact that Children are a gift from God it is completly approprite to dedicat theese Children back to God.
In Samuel, Hannah had prayed and prayed for a child, when God finally gave her Samuel she went to the temple, dedicated him to the Lord, and gave him up for service. In Merry and Josoph also dedicated Jesues
Luke 2:22 CSB
22 And when the days of their purification according to the law of Moses were finished, they brought him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord
In this same way Ben and Autumn today bring Thaddeus presenting first themselves, and then Thaddeus before the Lord. here with them are family and friends, each meber of family also helps in the prosess of raising Thaddeus although the altemete responcibility falls on Ben and Autumn their are many that will have an influence on young Thaddeus
Ben and Autumn I would like you to think of the words again in
Deuteronomy 6:4–7 CSB
4 “Listen, Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. 6 These words that I am giving you today are to be in your heart. 7 Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
in addition epesians 6:4 says
Ephesians 6:4 CSB
4 Fathers, don’t stir up anger in your children, but bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
Ben and Autumn your responsibility is to love God with every fibor of your being, you can not love one another proporly if you do not first love God, and the same goes with Thaddeus you can not love and care for Thaddeus if you do not first love God and each other.
my challenge for you today is Love God, Love one another, and Love little Thaddeus . Show him a house full of God, and Love. Often times kids think it is gross to see their parents kiss, but in fact it is wonderful because they are in a home full of stibility and love.
Have parents come foward once again with the father holding the Child.
Ben and Autumn by comming foward before God and his people do you declare your desire to dedicate yourselves and Thaddeus to the Lord?
parents: We do
Having come freely, I ask now that you enter into the following commitment in the presence of God and his people So that Thaddeus may walk in the abundant life that Christ offers, do you vow by God's help and in partnership with the church, to provide Theddeus a Christian home of love and peace, to raise him in the truth of our Lord's instruction and discipline, and to encourage him to one day trust Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord? ("We do.")
Finally, I ask that the church make a vow as well. There's an old proverb that says "it takes a village to raise a child." Parents have first responsibility. But parents need the help and support of the community. So I direct my questions now to the church. By being present in God's house today, do you hereby declare yourselves to be the children of God because you trust in Jesus Christ alone for the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life? If this is true, please respond by saying "we do." ("We do.")
Would you please stand? Having come freely, I ask now that you make the following commitment to those who stand before you: So that Thaffeus may walk in the abundant life that Christ offers, do you vow by God's help, to be faithful in your calling as members of the body of Christ, to help Ben and Autumn be faithful to God, and to help teach and train Thaddeus in the ways of the Lord so that he might one day trust him as Savior and Lord? If you accept this responsibility, please respond by saying "we do."
