Matt 24:3-14

3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" 4 Jesus answered: "Watch out that no-one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumours of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth-pains. 9 "Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. (NIV)

Memorial Day? This is also a reminder of those that gave their lives in a world full of lovelesness.

·         "Watch out that no-one deceives you

·         For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ (The anointed one)

*The sign seekers, the sensation seekers…

·         see to it that you are not alarmed.

·         many false prophets will appear (In the state Lovelessness we are most likely to be deceived, alarmed, discouraged, lose faith,)

·         12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold

The two Commandments? Love God with all your heart, soul, strength, mind the second is like the first Love your neighbor.

Þ    Has your love grown Cold? Is it Growing? Do you want to love God and Man more?

1 Cor 13:1-3 Spirit filled Christian without love. EVERYTHING BUT!

1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

·         Verses 4-8 show how loves acts under pressure, not in good times!

Eph 5:25-27 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. (NIV)

Þ    Christ loved her, to make her Holy!

Are we doing this to one another? Are people Holy and blameless to us? Are we presenting them Holy and blemeless to God?

Ø  Washing: washing by his words of Love  Not only the sound of those words but the action of them. (feet washing, not saving but washing) John 13:5-15

Rom 12:9-21 (living in the washing machine)

9 Don't just pretend that you love others: really love them. Hate what (not who) is wrong. Stand on the side of the good. 10 Love each other with brotherly affection and take delight in honoring each other. 11 Never be lazy in your work, but serve the Lord enthusiastically. 12 Be glad for all God is planning for you. Be patient in trouble, and prayerful always. 13 When God's children are in need, you be the one to help them out. And get into the habit of inviting guests home for dinner or, if they need lodging, for the night. 14 If someone mistreats you because you are a Christian, don't curse him; pray that God will bless him. 15 When others are happy, be happy with them. If they are sad, share their sorrow. 16 Work happily together. Don't try to act big. Don't try to get into the good graces of important people, but enjoy the company of ordinary folks. And don't think you know it all! 17 Never pay back evil for evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honest clear through. 18 Don't quarrel with anyone. Be at peace with everyone, just as much as possible. 19 Dear friends, never avenge yourselves. Leave that to God, for he has said that he will repay those who deserve it. [Don't take the law into your own hands.] 20 Instead, feed your enemy if he is hungry. If he is thirsty give him something to drink and you will be "heaping coals of fire on his head." In other words, he will feel ashamed of himself for what he has done to you. 21 Don't let evil get the upper hand, but conquer evil by doing good. (TLB)

·         Speak words of unconditional Love! Wash people in his words that he speaks to you!

Ø  Stain removing (by his blood)

1 Pet 1:22 Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart.

·         you have purified yourselves

·         by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart

Heb 9:14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself (Eph 5:25 offered himself)unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God! (NIV)

I Jn 1:5-7 (Maybe read all of the first Chapter)

5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

I Jn 2:8-11

8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth. 9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. 10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. 11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

Ø  Ironing: you know what this word wrinkles means? Wrinkles. He will make you look good.

Ø  Protection from further stains: any other blemish HOW? STAY CLOSE! Watchout for on another.

Ø  Patching:  Prov 10:12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins. (KJV) Protct one another, don‘t shoot the wounded.
