Sermon Tone Analysis

*Matt 6:33* But *seek first his kingdom* and *his righteousness*, and all these things will be given to you as well.

*How do I know if I am seeking first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness?*

 

*Matthew 6: 1-4 (*doing everything toward God, I live before him, always aware of his presence)

*GIVING*

*4* so that your giving may be in secret.*

Then your Father, who sees *what is done in secret, will reward you.

* *

*PRAYING*

*6 *But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen.*

Then your Father, who sees *what is done in secret, will reward you.

*FASTING*

*17 *But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, 18 so that it will not be obvious to men that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and* your Father, who sees *what is done in secret, will reward you*.*

* *Righteousness **(*Ro 14:17) Standing before God

* Tell me what this is!

Right standing?

What is that?

Do you mean I have an open door to God’s throne room and I can walk in at anytime and he will listen and answer my prayers?

Any of them?

* In all these examples we can do things for our kingdom, before men, receive our reward only in the natural, or we can seek his Kingdom first and his righteousness.

*John 15: 7* If you remain in me and my words remain in you, *ask whatever you wish*, and *it will be given you.*

* *peace *(if I’m standing in righteousness I will have peace)

*Matthew 6: 31* So *do not worry*, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and *your heavenly Father knows that you need them*.

33 But *seek first his kingdom* and *his righteousness*, and all these things will be given to you as well.

34 Therefore *do not worry* about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Each day has enough trouble of its own.

* Worry is one of the signs that I am not seeking the kingdom and his righteousness

* *

* *Joy in the Holy Spirit*

* *

*Philippians 4: 4* *Rejoice* in the Lord always.

*I will say it again*: *Rejoice*!

/(Remember “This is good”) /5 Let your gentleness /(this has the idea in the Gr. as if someone was so close or upon something that there was an imprint left, a copy of, to be like something)/ be evident to all.

The Lord is near.

6 *Do not be anxious about anything*, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And *the peace of God*, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
