Without Friday , there’s no forgiveness

Friday morning there was a veil, a separation of God’s presence and mankind
This wasn’t how things were to start , in the garden there was no real separation from God’s presence
Before the eating of the apple , there was no indication of Adam & Eve feeling the need to hide from God’s presence (Genesis 3:8)
The first time we see separation from God is when they are expelled
The veil was torn at the moment Jesus surrendered His life for us
The tearing of the veil was a physical representation of the removal of the barrier of sin.
Before this moment there was no way for us to be reconciled to God.
Jesus had to die
nkjv Hebrews 9:22
Hebrews 9:22 NKJV
And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.
Only Jesus could die , the lamb
So what does that mean for you and I
We’re absolved of sin’s guilt and penalty.
The thief on the cross availed himself to that absolution by trusting in Jesus as Lord (Luke 23:42)

Without Sunday, our faith is ...

(1 Corinthians 15:12–19 )

12 Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. 14 And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. 15 Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up—if in fact the dead do not rise. 16 For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. 17 And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! 18 Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.

Romans 10:9

9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 1:1-4

Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God 2 which He promised before through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, 3 concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh, 4 and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.

It invalidates all Christian preaching
Paul put it this way “our preaching is empty, and your faith is empty”
It holds no substance, no truth, no power
Our faith is futile
it’s incapable of producing anything worthwhile
it’s pointless
Without Sunday , there is no point to Christianity
Christ’s resurrection is God’s validation of God’s acceptance of His sacrifice
If Christ didn’t rise then sin won
The resurrection is a demonstration of God’s victory over sin and the grave

With Friday AND Sunday our destiny is assured

On Friday the separating veil was destroyed
Today death was defeated
That means that NOTHING outside of your heart can change your destiny
That means there is no “end”
Your future has no limit
It cannot be stolen
It cannot be taken from you
Your life can be changed for eternity
(John 10:10 NKJV)
John 10:10 NKJV
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Jesus said He came to bring a life that is ABUNDANT
