And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Eph
Ani ekarkaa-prati dayaalu ho-o, komal mankaa ho-o; Ra jasari Parameswarle KhrishTmaa timiharulaai kshamaa garnu-bhaeko chha, usari nai timiharule pani ekarkaalaai kshamaa gara.
Steps - next is a little more difficult than the last
Kindness - Easy to fake kindness - even when our heart is not kind
Smile
Help
Do something nice
Tenderhearted - Deeper - more work
When we soften(kamal) our hearts, it is easier to get hurt
This takes something from our heart, our emotions(bhawana)
Forgiving - Hardest
It is an act of the heart
It is not seen by others
Many people have trouble with forgiveness!
Our sins are not important
The wounds we give are small
We are not so bad
We are worthy of forgiveness
But he hurt me badly
His sins are wicked!
I can’t forgive him!
But it is a command of God
Many people think that forgiveness is about others
But that is not true!
Your forgiveness does not change the judgement of others
They will reap what they sow.
They will stand before God and give answer for their deeds
Forgiveness is about you and your heart
About your relationship with the Lord
About staying close to him
About keeping the right attitude
The right spirit
About when you will stand and answer to God
Did YOU forgive?
Forgiveness is removing any debt or responsibility (to you)
Forgiveness is removing any debt or responsibility (to you)
No expectation from them
You will have peace if they never do right
If they never give apology
If they never admit the truth
The debt is removed/cleared
Those who refuse to forgive are waiting for an opportunity to repay the wrong they received.
Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
Kharaabiko badalaamaa kharaabi nagara, athawaa gaaliko nadeo; Tara ulTo aashish deo; Yo jaanera ki timiharu aashishkaa hakadaar hunaalaai bolaaiekaa chhaau.
Forgiveness is your responsibility
Forgiveness is your responsibility
We say, “I will forgive if he gives apology”
“If he repents”
We give our requirements(kaancho-haru)
God’s commands do not come with qualifications: “if others are worthy”
Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
Yaskaaran timile aaphno bheTi bedimaa lyaayaau bhane, ra tyahaa’ timro birodhmaa timro bhaaiko kohi vhha bhanne samjhanaa bhayo bhane, 24 Aaphno bheTi tyahi’ bediko aghiltira choD, ra jaau; Pahile aaphno bhaai-sa’ga mel-milaap gara, tyas-pachi aaera aaphno bheTi chadaau.
The one who received offence(aparadh) is supposed to take the first step
You can clear the debt without help from others
Forgiveness is required for the right relationship with God
Forgiveness is required for the right relationship with God
This is the most important
In the Lord’s Prayer
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
This is how Jesus prayed
What kind of forgiveness do you want from God? Complete? Partial?
What kind of forgiveness did you give?
What offense did you keep with you?
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Ani haamraa hrin-haru haamilaai kshamaa gharnuhos, jasari haamile pani aaphnaa hrin-harulaai kshamaa gardachhaau.
Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Do not be like this wicked servant!
Forgive as we have been forgiven!
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
