Explanation
Explanation
When we watch Tom Brady play football, Simon Biles compete in gymnastics, or Serena Williams play tennis, their talent is clearly evidenced in their skill. This brings up the question of whether their talent comes naturally or whether they have to work at it. Most likely it’s a combination of both—talent and practice each play a crucial role. Sometimes we hesitate to serve in the church because we fear we aren’t gifted or talented enough to serve adequately.
Today, however, we will see that all followers of Jesus have been gifted to serve for the good of the body. Furthermore, we will see that though God has gifted us, we must still practice our gifts in the church in order to develop and grow our giftings for the betterment of the body. Without exception, God grants all believers gifts to use for His glory and the good of His church.
