Mark 7-9: Continuing in the study of the Gospel of Mark, escatological beliefs of Peter and the disciples are put to the test as Christ reveals that he must die and be raised from the dead three days after. Additionally, religious community members request more miraculous signs from Christ as he feeds the five thousand and then again the four thousand. We see Christ’s miraculous ministry taking place in private, and Christ’s transfiguration. The signs of the end times are also discussed with consideration of who the messanger of Christ is as it relates to Malachi chapter 3 and 4.
