Jonah 3 : 1-10
We often use phrases like “long shot,” “mission impossible,” “a fool’s errand,” etc., to speak of deeds that are unlikely to succeed. While we would never use these terms to speak of our endeavors with the gospel, we often think that way as we are intimidated or unconfident in sharing God’s truth with others. Yet, Jonah 3, properly understood, supplies us with that missing confidence as we see God’s amazing tendency to save against all odds.
