Wrath is an extensive sin, which can be expressed in many different ways – anger, rage, hatred, revenge, violence, etc. Even the most peaceful people on earth can be guilty of wrath to one degree or another. The pages of the Bible, of history, of mythology and stories; they are full of accounts of wrath and violence. Even God is considered to be vengeful, angry and full of wrath. So, in contemplating this topic we need to see the difference between human wrath and God’s wrath, ultimately displayed in Jesus Christ. He shows us the extent of God’s righteous wrath, but also the huge power of wrath’s contrast: forgiveness, patience and peace.
