The Baptist Church

The word Church in the New Testament is two Greek words-ekklesia, ek (called) klesia (out), the called out ones.  These words are used 115 times in the New Testament.

The church Universal is made-up of those that have:

1. Be born again

Today we find that the church has been made up of many that have never experienced the salvation. This has caused the church in our time to be very religious.

We are contending with the same problems that

Jesus was during with during his ministry. (Matthew 22)

                        C. The local church has two ordinances baptism and the lords super.

                                                Matthew 28:18-20

“Membership into the Local church is not salvation”

One can join the Local church and find himself lost and without God.

                        2. They make their own decisions. (acts 1:15)

                        3. They select their own deacons.  (Acts 6:1)

                        4. They administered the ordinances. (acts 2:41-42)

                        5. They send missionaries. (acts 13:1)

                        6. They are independent of the other churches they still work together (1 Cor 16:3-4 2 cor 8:19-21). Paul’s missionary journeys give us this picture.
