The Most Powerful Force In The Universe!
In The Universe!
Learning To Hear Him
To Experience
A Life Of Abundance
God has plans to bless us and must share them with us or else we will never experience his best blessings
(NKJV) — 23 O Lord, I know the way of man is not in himself; It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps.
(NKJV) — 24 A man’s steps are of the Lord; How then can a man understand his own way?
(NKJV) — 12 There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.
THE ONLY WAY WE CAN EXPERIENCE GOD’S ABUNDANCE
IS THAT HE TELLS US HOW!
(NKJV) — 14 For God may speak in one way, or in another, Yet man does not perceive it.
It is clear that God gave some ie. Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, to help you walk in his will and experience his best.
It is for that very reason that I have purposed in my heart to help you come to know and recognize the voice of the Lord when he speaks to you so he can guide you to his best blessings.
I do not feel that in this life there is a worthier mission for me than to help everyone of you learn to know the voice of our father and help you submit to his will for your life.
I am committed and determined to fulfill that mission. For the rest of my life I will devote myself to listening and following his voice for my own life and assist in helping those of you who are willing to also hear and obey the words of our father for your lives.
(NKJV) — 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
The abundant life promised can only be experienced when we moved beyond the elementary principles of Christ and develop a deep personal intimate relationship with Him.
(NKJV) — 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
We must come to know his voice. His voice is the voice that will lead us to a life of abundance!
(NKJV) — 18 Therefore take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him.”
Now let us reason:
The Word Of God
(NKJV) — 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
We are speaking of Jesus here. He is defined as the word of God. this is made certain in verse 14.
(NKJV) — 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
It is Jesus that brought everything into existence. It is important for us to note how he did it! Read and tell me for yourself how was everything created?
(NKJV) — 6 By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.
(NKJV) — 9 For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.
We can see now that everything that was created was created by the spoken word of God. That spoken word still has an effect until this day!
He spoke and told the light to be and there was light!
He spoke and told the heavens and the earth to exist and they became reality!
He spoke and told birds to fly, that did not know how to fly, and they flew and still today they fly!
He spoke and told fish to swim, that did not know how to swim, and they swam and still today they swim!
Whatever God said, it came to pass without hesitation!
He spoke to nothing, and it became something!
He can still speak to nothing, and it can become something!
And whatever God said in the beginning, is still in effect to this day. It can never be rescinded. His word will never change because he changes not!
When God speaks, whatever he speaks comes the pass.
The universe heard God's voice and the universe came to life! The same is true for us.
God's Word is life for us!
(NKJV) — 45 Moses finished speaking all these words to all Israel, 46 and he said to them: “Set your hearts on all the words which I testify among you today, which you shall command your children to be careful to observe—all the words of this law.
47 For it is not a futile thing for you, because it is your life, and by this word you shall prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to possess.”
From this we can learn that our life is in the word of God. The ability to hear his word is the ability to experience the abundance he has planned for us.
If we do not train ourselves to hear his word, we are neglecting the abundance God desires for us to have!
How does God speak to us?
By his written word – The Bible
By his Holy Spirit – the spoken word
by his gifts – those whom he has called
by circumstances –through events we experience
The Bible
The Bible, though important is not of the utmost importance. There is something more important than the bible!
The Bible was not in the beginning!
Thousands of years after the beginning, the Bible came into existence.
The Bible was given to us as an elementary way of learning about God. It is the fundamental thing we must learn before we can recognize who God really is.
THE BIBLE IS THE FOUNDATION UPON WHICH WE BUILD OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST
(NKJV) — 39 You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. 40 But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.
The Bible is the spoken word of God that is written in a book.
THE BIBLE IS THE SPOKEN WORD OF GOD THAT IS WRITTEN IN A BOOK
But because it is written, and confined to a book, it must not just be read but studied so that the written word becomes the frequency that we tune our ears to hear the speaking voice of God.
THE BIBLE, THE WRITTEN WORD OF GOD, BECOMES THE FREQUENCY THAT WE TUNE OUR EARS TO HEAR THE SPEAKING VOICE OF GOD
When the voice is heard, it become life to those that hear it.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the speaking voice of God.
THE VOICE OF GOD IS THE MOST POWERFUL FORCE IN THE UNIVERSE!
(NKJV) — 6 So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.
It is the spirit that gives life. He gives it more abundantly to those who are submissive to his voice when heard.
We must train ourselves to hear the Holy Spirit, who is the voice of the speaking word of God.
(He was the one that hovered over the waters in the beginning)
It was the Holy Spirit that gave man life when God breathed on him.
The Holy Spirit is the voice of God that we need to hear today.
He is the one that Christ has given us for us to hear to experience the abundant life promised.
THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE ONE THAT CHRIST HAS GIVEN FOR US TO HEAR TO EXPERIENCE THE ABUNDANT LIFE
Now listen:
We must discipline ourselves to be able to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit if we desire to experience the promised life of abundance.
Satan, our adversary, is aware of our need to hear the Holy Spirit today and does everything he can to keep us from hearing correctly.
Three ways we wrestle to hear the speaking voice of God,
SATAN, THE WORLD, THE FLESH WAGE WAR TO KEEP US FROM HEARING THE SPEAKING VOICE OF GOD; HIS HOLY SPIRIT
Satan, speaks loud and screams the incorrect messages – lies - so we go astray.
The world has trained us not to listen. To crowd out his voice with activity and business so that we do not hear.
Our own flesh wars against our hearing the speaking word of truth.
Nevertheless, our Lord has said,
(NKJV) — 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
14 I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you (BACK) to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive.
We must start to train ourselves to hear the Holy Spirit, the speaking voice of God. Over the next few weeks we will continue to do so.
But let me explain to you now, why I say we must train ourselves.
WE MUST TAKE THE TIME TO LEARN TO DISCERN THE VOICE OF GOD ABOVE THE NOISE OF THE WORLD
(NKJV) — 14 For God may speak in one way, or in another, Yet man does not perceive it.
God is speaking now through his Holy Spirit to give us a life of abundance, but all too often, we don't hear him, because the noise of the world crowds him out. Case in point;
(NKJV) — 27 “Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour. 28 Father, glorify Your name.”
Then a voice came from heaven, saying, “I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.”
29 Therefore the people who stood by and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, “An angel has spoken to Him.”
Here, we see confusion as to what actually happened.
Some said it thundered
Some thought it was an angel
Nevertheless, they did not understand what was being communicated.
The same thing happened to Paul when he heard the voice of God
(NKJV) — 7 And the men who journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice but seeing no one.
(NKJV) — 9 “And those who were with me indeed saw the light and were afraid, but they did not hear the voice of Him who spoke to me.
God was speaking but they could not discern what he was saying.
We must discipline ourselves to be still, slowdown from our busy activity to see the face of God so that we may find him and be able to discern his voice from the noise of the world around us. In other words,
WE NEED TO STOP, SHUT UP AND LISTEN!
(NKJV) — 10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!
Most religion is about noise, activity and believing we have to have and emotional experience to make us feel like we are hearing from God.
I suggest to you all you need to do is to hear the true voice of God.
Then, you will experience a feeling like you've never felt before
Hear me now, it is very easy to miss hearing the voice of God. It is very easy that we will not perceive of his voice unless we discipline ourselves in the quiet times to listen.
(NKJV) — 14 For God may speak in one way, or in another, Yet man does not perceive it.
One final story;
(NKJV) — 1 Now the boy Samuel ministered to the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no widespread revelation. 2 And it came to pass at that time, while Eli was lying down in his place, and when his eyes had begun to grow so dim that he could not see, 3 and before the lamp of God went out in the tabernacle of the Lord where the ark of God was, and while Samuel was lying down,
(1st Time)
4 that the Lord called Samuel. And he answered, “Here I am!” 5 So he ran to Eli and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” And he said, “I did not call; lie down again.” And he went and lay down.
(2nd Time)
6 Then the Lord called yet again, “Samuel!” So Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” He answered, “I did not call, my son; lie down again.”
(3rd Time)
7 (Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, nor was the word of the Lord yet revealed to him.) 8 And the Lord called Samuel again the third time. So he arose and went to Eli, and said, “Here I am, for you did call me.” Then Eli perceived that the Lord had called the boy. 9 Therefore Eli said to Samuel, “Go, lie down; and it shall be, if He calls you, that you must say, ‘Speak, Lord, for Your servant hears.’ ”
So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
(4th Time)
10 Now the Lord came and stood and called as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel answered, “Speak, for Your servant hears.”
(NKJV) — 14 For God may speak in one way, or in another, Yet man does not perceive it.
