INTRODUCTION
Charles F. Glassman once said, “Sticks and stones can break your bones, but words can never hurt you…unless you believe them. Then, they can destroy you.” Surely, in light of this famous quote, one is forced to ask, does words matter? Throughout human history, it is realized that by an individual’s word another person may become hostile. While on the other hand it may cause someone else to be happy or hopeful. That is why Steve Bivans further stated, “The power of words to deceive is a danger far exceeding any we might encounter from physical weapons. Sticks and stones can break bones! But words can lead worlds into ruin!” Of course, these are some of the reasons why, the Bible advises its readers on three basic fronts. “Swift to hear, slow to speak,” ; Likewise, “Let your speech be gracious, seasoned with salt,” ; Additionally, “Let no corrupt talk comes out of your mouth, .
