Finding your purpose
Who are you?
Everyone has a reason for why they are here on the earth.
Our greatest day on earth is discovering Jesus, our second greatest day is find out who you are.
If we are going to discover why we are here then there are five questions that need to answer.
Renew Your Mind
Re-Something that was already there.
Re-Something that was already there.
New-Something we have not seen.
Renew-means that we are discovering something new that has been there all along.
Before we were born we established our purpose, we knew our place.
We have lived in heaven once before and we need to renew our minds back to how we were first made.
Jesus told us to come to him as children do, we have to go back and remind ourselves what it was like to think like a child in order for us to come to him as a child.
In order to come as a child then we have change our way of thinking.
Who are you?
We are not what we do.
What does the Bible say that we are?
:
We are citizens of heaven.
What does it mean to be a citizen of heaven?
A citizen is a native or naturalized member of a state or nation who owes allegiance to its government and is entitled to its protection.
We are residence of heaven living here on the earth.
As resident citizen we have been given rights and privileges that no other being on the planet has.
We engage in those rights by our allegiance to the King.
One great example of the power of citizenship was when Paul used his Roman Citizenship when he was being whipped.
Paul was not only a Roman Citizen, but he was a natural born citizen.
Most people had to pay for their Roman Citizenship, but Paul has his by birth.
When you are a Roman citizen then that means that you are protected by the government, so if they would have chosen to beat Paul they would have been in trouble.
We are citizens of heaven, so we are protected by the Heaven on earth.
We have rights, privileges, and God’s loyalty.
In return we give God our upmost loyalty.
A major difference in the Kingdom of Heaven is that it is a perfect government that is run by love.
Romans 22:24-29
We are sons of God.
We are sons of God.
Scripture tells us that have been upgraded from slavery to sons through the blood of Jesus.
IF we can understand that we are sons of God then our mentality needs to be the mentality of a son.
Sons have a place in the Kingdom that no one else has.
Sons have a role of authority that no one else has as well.
We are heirs.
Where are you from?
Until you know where you are from you don’t know who you are.
Why are you here?
Why are you on this planet
What can I do?
What is my true ability?
Most people are living below there true potential.
We are victims of others people opinion of what we can do.
Where are you going?
Where will you be in the next ten years?
What is your hope to become and to do with your life?
