:1-6 From the beginning, God has always been ____ ________ in your life bringing about
your ____________________. He will not stop until we see Him again.
:7-9 Love is not ____________. It grows as we grow in our __________________ of the truth
and our ability to __________ truth.
10-11: The goal of learning to love is to know ________ ____ ________ and to ________ ____ with
each other until Christ returns for us.
God was at work in us at the beginning of our new life. God has not stopped working, and God will not stop
working in and among us until the completion of our time on earth. God has been working on most of us for
years. The picture He’s painting in our lives is His work. He is the artist and deserves all the credit for the
masterpiece He is crafting. As the canvas, our response should be to let Him do His work, whenever and
however He sees fit. While we might not always like the methods the Artist is using to create this masterpiece,
isn’t it better to entrust the work to the one who started it all?
The most vivid color in His work is love. Loving God and others is what we were created for. Yet, love is a
learning process. Developing a better understanding of the truth and the person loved helps us to love more
fully. Love without knowledge or discernment is immature and naïve. While this is not wrong, it is only a
starting place. May we be ever pursuing a fuller, more mature form of love that is informed, discerning and
seeks the very best for the one loved.
What are one or two lessons that God is showing you or reminding you of this morning?
