Paul is determined to show the Corinthian Christians how disciples
take full advantage of the Spirit’s presence and power so as to dedicate their lives to the glory of
God. In four statements he reminds them of a fundamental principle; spiritual gifts come from
God, which means they are activated and empowered for serving others, and all for God’s glory
alone.
