Vorrang der Liebe
Der Vorrang der Liebe
According to the news, two high school students, from Hanover in West Germany set an unusual world record: for the longest kiss.
The boy, aged 19, and his 16-year-old girlfriend, stayed in a clinch for 105 minutes and 48 seconds, beating by 10 minutes the record set by a British couple.
The kiss ended when the duo were on a point of passing out for lack of oxygen. Even so, an ear-nose-and-throat specialist and the nurses who were on hand to watch fair play did not have to use oxygen bottles that they had placed near by just in case.
Irishman Kevin Sheenham of Limerick, Pa., in 1955 set a world record for nonstop talking—133 hours.
This record is now broken by Tim Harty of Coon Rapids, Minn., whose record in 1975 was—144 hours.
The women’s nonstop talking record belongs to Mrs. Mary E. Davis who in 1958 started talking in Buffalo, New York, and did not stop until she was in Tulsa, Okla.—a total of 110 hours, 30 minutes.
Kontext (Kap.1-11)
Wiederholung (Kap.12)
Structurally, 1 Cor 13 divides into three sections: Verses 1–3 expound the absolute necessity and primacy of love, vv. 4–7 describe the nature or character of love, and vv. 8–13 establish the permanence of love. Paul’s exposition of love is particularly suited to the Corinthian context.
“Vier geistliche Begabungen, die ohne Liebe nichts wert sind”
Was ist biblische Liebe?
The rarity of ἀγαπη [agapē] made it easier for Christians to use this word for Christian love as opposed to ἐρως [erōs] (sexual love).
Alan Redpath tells the story of a young woman who came to her pastor desperate and despondent. She said, “There is a man who says he loves me so much he will kill himself if I don’t marry him. What should I do?” “Do nothing,” he replied. “That man doesn’t love you; he loves himself. Such a threat isn’t love; it is pure selfishness.”

2) Liebe ist mit Wahrheit verknüpft
3) Liebe ist mit Gerechtigkeit verknüpft
4) Liebe drückt sich in Gehorsam aus
Lovelessness is behind all disobedience to the Lord, and love is behind all true obedience.
5) Liebe zu Gott und Liebe zum Mitmenschen lassen sich nicht trennen
6) Liebe ist eine heiligende Liebe
7) Liebe ist eine “rettende” Liebe
8) Liebe ist eine Tat
At the Last Supper Jesus took off His outer garments and began to wash the p 330 disciples’ feet as a practical demonstration of love to those who, contrary their Master, were then thinking only of themselves. While Jesus was facing the agony of the cross, His unloving disciples argued about which of them was the greatest (Luke 22:24). They were humanly unattractive, undeserving, selfish, and insensitive. But the Savior chose to love them supremely, and taught them to love not in word but in deed.
9) Liebe ist selbstlos
10) Liebe ist aufopfernd
11) Liebe ist eine Entscheidung
12) Liebe ist das Stillen wahrer Bedürfnisse
Love is the willing, joyful desire to put the welfare of others above our own

1) Sprachfertigkeit ohne Liebe (v1)
In New Testament times, rites honoring the pagan deities Cybele, Bacchus, and Dionysus included speaking in ecstatic noises that were accompanied by smashing gongs, clanging cymbals, and blaring trumpets. Paul’s hearers clearly got his point: unless it is done in love, ministering the gift of languages, or speaking in any other human or angelic way, amounts to no more than those pagan rituals. It is only meaningless jibberish in a Christian guise.
2) Erkenntnis ohne Liebe (v2a)
3) Glaube ohne Liebe (v2b)
4) Wohltätigkeit ohne Liebe (v3)
