Matthew 6:10 NIV

your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Repetition Means Important

As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’

What is the Kingdom of God?

The Bible doesn’t give us a definition, but describes it:

Romans 14:17 NIV

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,

We are representatives of the Kingdom of God.

Why it matters in prayer?

When we pray, thy kingdom come, we are praying, God, we see glimpses of it, we want to see more of it. All of it. We want to see your will being carried out everywhere.

Until that happens, remember that we are representatives of the Kingdom.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name.

Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses

as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,

For Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
