we see that the apostles did signs and wonders Acts 5:12

Here it may seem we have a contradiction because of the fallowing verse, but this verse is saying that nobody dare join themselves to them and the them here is referring to the Apostle, we know this from the previous verse.

Read verses 14-16

The power of God was upon the church of Jerusalem , and God was doing great things .

the church of today knows very little of the power that we read about in these previous verses, and we would do well to pray that we as a church body would be able to see God work in us as He did in the days of the apostles.

For every action there is a an equal and opposite reaction

faith - fear

honest giving - Deceitful giving

One can not worry of an attack from Satan if He or She is not doing anything for the cause of Christ, but let us understand that all who plan to do something for God must also plan for the attack of Satan and those that he uses to discourage the work of the Lord
