Acknowledge
So .. you heard a sermon and the Pastor invited you to come up front, what exactly just happened?
Well i can assure you that it wasn’t magic.
All you remember is that there was this magnetic pull from your heart and yes your heart was responding to Jesus according to... ( “Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.)
Essentially God is inviting you into his family through his Son Jesus Christ, and all he requires of you is to make a conscious decision to except his free gift of Salvation.
Why conscious, because the steps to salvation are outlined in his word, and he gives us the freedom of choice.
Lets get started.
55 “Come, everyone who thirsts,
step 1. Acknowledge what He is and what your not.
come to the waters;
God is Holy and we’re not.
Because of our sin nature we are unholy.
and he who has no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without price.
2 Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread,
and your labor for that which does not satisfy?
Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good,
and delight yourselves in rich food.
3 Incline your ear, and come to me;
hear, that your soul may live;
and I will make with you an everlasting covenant,
my steadfast, sure love for David.
