Pete and Lucille

Pete and Lucille have been a part of Perry Assembly for a long time.
They have been faithful to support the church, and faithful to support the Pastor. Even when they were not able to be here very much they were faithful.

Death Where is your Sting

I Corinthians 15:
1 Corinthians 15:55–56 NLT
O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power.
Lucille is not feeling the sting of death because she did not have to. She knew Jesus!

What do you think Lucille is learning now?

1 John 3:1 NLT
See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.
She is learning that Jesus loves her even more than she can imagine!
I believe that we have yet to experience Gods love to its fullest.
Today Lucille is surrounded by the most beautiful city you can imagine, she sees Angels walking the streets, the constant flow of Gods presence is moving in her life!

Its ok to Cry

Its ok to cry today, but not for Lucille, for us.
We cry because we hurt. But thank God that Lucille left a legacy for us to lean on. A legacy of faith in a loving Father, A legacy of hope, and a legacy of family.
Turn your eyes upon Jesus.

Graveside

Elijah told Elisah you can have what you have asked for if you can see the mantle fall.
Mantle represent a tangible gift that is given. Its like a legacy or a talent and this was passed onto Elisah.
The only way he was going to have the gift of prophet is if he could see the mantle fall.
Lucille left us a legacy of faith, but the only way you get to have it is if you can see if for yourself.
You can’t take what you don’t see for yourself.
