Obedient to the Heavenly Vision

He recounted how he met the Lord Jesus Christ in a vision on the road to Damascus

He received his life’s mission directly for Christ.

To open the eyes of the Gentiles so that they may turn from darkness to Light… that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Christ

He confidently declared his obedience to the heavenly vision, despite the persecution he received from the Jewish community

God’s People are Expected to Obedient to His Vision

He touched my mouth with it and said, “Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away and your sin is forgiven.” Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

Get strength from your vision

2 Corinthians 12:5–10 NASB95

On behalf of such a man I will boast; but on my own behalf I will not boast, except in regard to my weaknesses. For if I do wish to boast I will not be foolish, for I will be speaking the truth; but I refrain from this, so that no one will credit me with more than he sees in me or hears from me. Because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me—to keep me from exalting myself! Concerning this I implored the Lord three times that it might leave me. And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Love the vision more than your life

God Rewards His Servants
