Theme: God sees the suffering of the children of Israel and He promises He will rescue and redeem them. In this passage God teaches the people of Israel how much He can be trusted, how much He loves them and how much He will do for them at His own personal cost, so that when they see it they will love Him in return. God is the perfect fiancé. He’s asking the children of Israel to marry Him and He does the same for us today. He takes the church, those who love Him, and makes her His bride, He shows us and reminds us how much He has done for us and who He is. God gives us promises and he backs them up with His character and His actions.
