God Loves Fellowship

God loves fellowship - Fellowship is not an activity it is a relationship. Fellowship is not a gathering, it's coming together to share and encourage each other.
Psalm 133:1 NKJV
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!
Fellowship begins with God! God created man to be in fellowship with Him. God himself is in fellowship with the Holy Spirit and Jesus. The three are one! Jesus came to the world to die for us to restore our fellowship with God. God’s ultimate desire is that we become one with Him and with each other.
Psalm 133:1–3 AMP
A Song of Ascents. Of David. BEHOLD, HOW good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment poured on the head, that ran down on the beard, even the beard of Aaron [the first high priest], that came down upon the collar and skirts of his garments [consecrating the whole body]. It is like the dew of [lofty] Mount Hermon and the dew that comes on the hills of Zion; for there the Lord has commanded the blessing, even life forevermore [upon the high and the lowly].
True fellowship is a sign of Holiness
Fellowship is like anointing oil, it consecrates us for the service of the Kingdom
Broken relationships are a sign of unclean hands… hearts
Matthew 5:23–24 NKJV
Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
God has no interest in what we have to offer if you are unwilling to have fellowship with His body
Hebrews 12:14 NKJV
Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:
You will have a skewed view of God without Godly fellowship
John 17:21 NKJV
that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.
Hebrews 10:24–25 NKJV
And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
This is how we do fellowship!
Consider one another: Take the time to think about others. Be genuinely interested in them.
Stir up one another: Encourage someone in their walk.
Ask questions like:
What is God doing in your life recently? Praise reports!
What are you struggling with today?
Keep getting together: Repeat, make this a lifestyle. Commit to pray for one another and keep checking in making sure.
God Loves you and wants you to have an abundant life! It begins with God and continues through us!
Do you want to have a better relationship with God? Do you struggle with relationships and fellowship?
Lets take time to ask God to minister to you this morning.
