End of Ezekiel - Promise of restoration
Partly eternal in Jesus
Partly reality in History
Ezra charts the beginning of this.
Jeremiah and Ezekiel were contemporaries - one in Jerusalm, one in excile
v1 - The Lord keeps his promises
v1 - The Lord keeps his promises
- despite the situtation!
Even mighty kings will be used! v2
v5-6 The Lord moves our hearts
v5-6 The Lord moves our hearts
v5-6 - Every knee will bow to the will of God - enemies, His people - this is glorious news
And it’s doubly good becasue it it God doing it - not us!!
Neighbours
Generosity - to God
We can be sure he will use us and fulfil his plans in us - becasue he ‘moves our hearts’ v5
v7 - The Lord possess treasure
v7 - The Lord possess treasure
What is the likely hood of all this being returned to the new temple!
I think this is meant to inspire us,
that God’s new heaven and earth will be incredible. all the good that he intended for this worlld, will be restored!
It’s going to be great!
Give thanks for using us as a church - he is fulfilling his promises
Give thanks that God is at work in our hearts - inclining ours to his - pray for more of this
Give thanks that He will restore all treasures of this earth to himself and us His people - pray that he through us, brings many more along.
