I kings 22: 1-22 \2 chronicles 19-20
Intro:
In our study of the kings, we have found that the evils of the kings have been one of the biggest problems that have hurt the kingdoms of Judah and Israel.
The divide kingdoms and the wick hearts are at the center of their problem. For some unimaginably reason we find here the two kingdoms coming together, most likely because of a marriage of the daughter of Ahab and the son of Jehoshaphat’s son. (2 king)
placed him in the precarious position of going to war with Ahab against the Arameans. 22:4 Jehoshaphat was the fourth king of the southern kingdom. He was related to Ahab through the marriage of his son Jehoram to Ahab’s daughter Athaliah (2 Kin. 8:18, 27). Jehoshaphat’s relation to Ahab now
Marriage does bring together some family even if it is the most unlikely bunch.

1 kings 22:1
It has been 3 years since the Syria king had lost his battle on ahab. Since then they both found themselves coming together to keep the Assyrians from come down on them and taking over the land of both, so they had to fight together for 3 years and during this time they must have talked and Bedehad said he would return the land ramoth gilead to ahab for his help in fighting the Assyrians. But like most wick people they will say anything to help their plight at the moment. (Postmodern view) if it true for you then it must be true.
Now that Aram and Israel as allies had successfully turned back Shalmaneser III of Assyria at Qarqar (853 b.c.), control of Ramoth Gilead was crucial.[2]
Vs. 2 The king of Israel should not have been there, he was falling into the trap that we find ourselves filling into when we at the wrong place at the wrong time. Listening to the wiles of the devil. The voice of the enemy is conniving and if we think for one monmet that we can fight that wick flow let me remind us of the encounter in the garden with the first lady. The out come of that first meeting with the lies of the enemy was hurt the whole of mankind. The king did not need to be there. We would have done the same thing. If our son had married the daughter of the king.
2 chronicles 19:2, the king is asked by a seer, “should you help the wicked and love those who hate the lord and so bring wrath on yourself from the Lord?”
2 Cor. 6:14–18) the word against marriage with those that are not Followers of God
Ephesians 6:12 our fight is not against flesh and blood
