Introduction to the Teaching

Most people know why God exist, millions know why Jesus came and his coming is celebrated as He should be. Yet, the question swirls around the purpose of the Holy Spirit, and as we answered the "who" of the Holy Spirit, one must answer the why did the Holy Spirit come. Truth be told, the reason people give for the presence of the Holy Spirit creates confusion to where people cannot receive his ministry. The ministry of the Holy Spirit allows believers to walk in kingdom authority gained through repentance, faith and acceptance of Jesus Christ. If you don't know why he came, you will not walk in the newness of life given by the regenerative presence of the Spirit. Knowing why Jesus died releases salvation, but the Holy Spirit keeps believers in salvation. One cannot assume through tradition thinking and practice the only way people know the Holy Spirit is present is by praise and responses to emotional moments. He did not come to make you emotional in service, but he came to edify you for service. He did not come to make you great, he came so that greater can be done through you. He did not come to make you praise, but he does provide reasons to praise. He did not come to condemn the world, but he did come to convict you for condemning the world. Why did He come? Receiving the answer to this unlocks great mysteries and truths that free the believer from living the "church" life and walking in the "believer's lane of anointing, assignment and authority."

Conviction

, 38-You will never receive Christ unless you're convicted as a sinner and convinced that you need Christ

Conversion

-You cannot change yourself or others, only God can change you.

Connection

-"Who leads you determines who you're connected to"

Confirmation

-Confirmation never comes vertically, confirmation come horizontally

Consecration

-Your body was built for God to dwell, Jesus to save and the Holy Ghost to clean up. Cleaning up your own self same body suggest that you do not need the cleansing agent of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit does the cleansing internally so that externally one can be a representative of the kingdom of God. Consecration is more than a forty day fast, it is a perpetual offering of oneself on the altar of sacrifice, realizing that the Holy Spirit dwells “in” you.
in (en)—a position defined as being within certain limits—”inside, within, in.”
1 Corinthians 6:15–20 NRSV
Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Should I therefore take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never! Do you not know that whoever is united to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For it is said, “The two shall be one flesh.” But anyone united to the Lord becomes one spirit with him. Shun fornication! Every sin that a person commits is outside the body; but the fornicator sins against the body itself. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body.

Communication

; -Communication is not a one way street, its a two way journey where both must listen to one another. The Holy Spirit is not in you to listen to you talk all the time, but the Holy Spirit is in you for you to listen to Him. When you communicate with God, you must be quiet to hear what the Spirit would say unto you.
Romans 8:25–27 NRSV
But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words. And God, who searches the heart, knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
John 14:26 NRSV
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything, and remind you of all that I have said to you.

Consultation

; -People have their on consulting firm when it comes to the will of God, but you have to consult the owner. Often times, we consult people that for that which only God can help. People are helpful, but if their advice is not coming from a godly source, then their advice leads toward destruction. Why do believes take advice from people who are adverse to us. Quit listening to quitters when you are trying to win in life. What you need to know, God will teach you by his anointing and will guide you those who can instruct you in the way of the Spirit. Many people turn away from the real people God places in your life to guide you through dangers seen and unseen dangers. The Spirit will not guide you to people who will feed your “ego,” but he will lead you to people that will “feed” you the truth from a place of love. Some people keep only those that will be on their “team” but those maybe the very people causing you to lose what you value and hold dear. Just because people say that’s what I would do, doesn’t mean that you need to do it. You will “cut” people who were meant to carry you....dump those God destined for you....eliminate those who edify you…gut those who give you life…alienate the vessel from where you anointing flows…victimize the vessel that God designed to bring you victory
1 John 2:27 NRSV
As for you, the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and so you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, abide in him.
1 John 2:28 NRSV
And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he is revealed we may have confidence and not be put to shame before him at his coming.
John 14:26 NRSV
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything, and remind you of all that I have said to you.

Conforming us in the image of the Son

; -We are created to be functional reflections of God here in the earth. When God created man from the silicon particles, their was a joint decision to create man like himself. We are created to be reflections here, doing what God did and that is speak and create with the Word of God. The Spirit of God does not “box” in believers, but conforms the to the image of the Son, who became a suffering servant…We have to look more like our original image instead of trying to be copies of what God did not design you to be. The image of his Son is one of overcoming and victory…authority and power...
2 Corinthians 5:17 NRSV
So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!
Romans 8:29 NRSV
For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn within a large family.

Confirming our position in Christ

; ; -Seeking position here does not secure your seat in the kingdom. The Holy Spirit was given by God to believers as assurance that better is coming and there is a heaven. Your position is “saved” and sealed until the day of the Lord’s redemption and return to gather his children home. No man can create your position and no man can take your position. God graciously assures believers in Christ that we are safe in his care. He seals our union with Christ by giving us the Spirit, who guarantees our ultimate salvation. Surely we should be more thankful, holy, and loving in light of such amazing grace. Where you are in Christ supersedes where people place you…people place you where you can get “knocked” off, but God place you where you can be “lifted” up…Your position is safe in the Holy Spirit...
2 Corinthians 1:21–22 NASB95
Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.
Ephesians 1:13–14 NASB95
In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.
2 Corinthians 5:5 NRSV
He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.
Ephesians 1:13 NRSV
In him you also, when you had heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and had believed in him, were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit;
