Faith in Jesus = Forgiveness... but we're often tempted to add something to the equation: Jesus + ______ = Forgiveness.
We all have things we're tempted to add into our faith. The extra things we think will make God more likely to forgive and accept us.
The joy of the gospel is that we are forgiven and accepted because of faith in Christ. Nothing else.
