Our relationship with the Holy Spirit is the whole purpose of the Cross

When Jesus died the veil of the temple was rent from top to bottom symbolizing the release of the Spirit

2. The Ministry of the Spirit

Ex 34:28-34 Moses puts veil over his face… He removed the veil when he would enter the Lord’s Presence

Eygpt,Red sea,  bitter water, manna quail, water from rock, Amalekites attack, Jethro and elders, 

God meets at Mt Sinai, God speaks the10 commandments and the law, In the middle Ex 20:19 

The Israelites don't want God to speak to them, God tells them No other Gods- how to build him an altar,

Moses Goes back down to tell the people what God said and they agree.

God summon's the elders and they go part way up.

Moses writes it all down and makes an altar with blood and confirms God's covenant with Israel reads covenant to the people and they agree

They elders and moses see God on pavement of sapphire, they saw God and didn't die, they ate and drank, Moses goes up and God writes the law on tablets, God gives the instructions for the tabernacle and priest

3. The Kingdom is among you but it will be in you.

Rom 14:17 Kingdom is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit

Luke 17:20-21 The Kingdom of God is in your midst.

You need the Spirit to understand the things of the Spirit

1 Cor 2:14 Things of the Spirit are Spiritually discerned

John 20:22 Jesus breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”

Luke 24:35 Jesus recognized by them when he broke the bread

Luke 24:32 Our hearts burned while he talked to us and opened the Scriptures to us.

If any man turns to God the veil is taken away

2 Cor 3:16 Turn to the Lord and the veil is taken away.

2 Corinthians 3:7-18 The ministry that brought death and condemnation is surpassed by the ministry of the Spirit.

Hebrews 8:10-12 I will put my laws on your hearts and minds

They will all know me

Hebrews 9:6-10 Gifts and sacrifices were not able to clear the conscience of the worshiper

6. Role of the Holy Spirit in our lives

John 14:16-17  (AMP)  The Holy Spirit… Our comforter, counselor, intercessor, advocate

But you know him and recognize Him

For He lives in you

Comforter   Parakletos - comforter, consoler intercessor, advocate

Ephesians 4:30 Holy Spirit can be grieved
