Introduction to the Message
Introduction to the Message
Mother's day celebrates the matriarchs of the family dynamic who are seen as the glue of the family. From Florida in Good Times to Big Mama in "Soul Food", the mother figure represents dedication, determination, faith and strength. They don't seek the applause or adoration, yet Solomon dedicates a whole chapter to the "virtuous woman. Yet, the Titus chapter two woman is paramount to being the type of woman needed to move from "Baby Mama" to "mamma." Mothers are the incubators for life and the greatest pushers. They encourage but yet easily heartbroken. You may not be the Best mom but you did your very best. You made some mistakes, you said some thing in anger, you may have said yes when you should have said no, but with all your mistakes, your children can never doubt you Love them with every fiber of your being. When all your efforts failed, it was Love that made them affectionately call you MOM...The Book of the Kings, written possibly by a group of prophets or possibly Jeremiah during the time where Israel was a land divided both physically and spiritually. This book tells the history the various kings who ruled God's people from the ascension of Solomon to the close of captivity of Jehoiachin. Chapter three recounts the establishment of God's rule by the removal of internal foes, i.e., of disaffected and rebellious subjects. In this we see him strengthening his position by an external alliance, by a marriage with an Egyptian princess. Solomon asks God for understanding and wisdom so he could discern between good and evil, and it pleased God that Solomon asked for wisdom to come in and out of his people. God granted Solomon wisdom and great wealth...The first test of Solomon's wisdom came when two prostitutes appear before him with a child and they wanted Solomon to decide the child's fate.
You can approach the king with your drama even if your current position is suspect...verse 16

Hebrews 4:14-16
Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
The word prostitute appears in Proverbs 1-9 as one category of women that men do well to avoid...men should set their hearts instead on a relationship with Lady Wisdom, who will help them see through seductive and misleading words (Proverbs 6:20-29). The occupation is dubbed as the "oldest profession," This profession requires a person, mostly of the female persuasion to devalue themselves to exchange themselves at a price that is way beneath market value. They place themselves to sell themselves to the highest bidder and take a ride to a place where she gives her self away for a fee...Don't undervalue yourself trying to make ends meet and create drama for yourself.

Genesis 37:1-11
Jacob lived in the land of his father’s sojournings, in the land of Canaan.
These are the generations of Jacob.
Joseph, being seventeen years old, was pasturing the flock with his brothers. He was a boy with the sons of Bilhah and Zilpah, his father’s wives. And Joseph brought a bad report of them to their father. Now Israel loved Joseph more than any other of his sons, because he was the son of his old age. And he made him a robe of many colors. But when his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers, they hated him and could not speak peacefully to him.
Now Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers they hated him even more. He said to them, “Hear this dream that I have dreamed: Behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and behold, my sheaf arose and stood upright. And behold, your sheaves gathered around it and bowed down to my sheaf.” His brothers said to him, “Are you indeed to reign over us? Or are you indeed to rule over us?” So they hated him even more for his dreams and for his words.
Then he dreamed another dream and told it to his brothers and said, “Behold, I have dreamed another dream. Behold, the sun, the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.” But when he told it to his father and to his brothers, his father rebuked him and said to him, “What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I and your mother and your brothers indeed come to bow ourselves to the ground before you?” And his brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept the saying in mind.
The woman continues with the drama and recounts how the baby died, through the mother laying on her son...then stealing her son from her bed and replacing him with her dead son.
The other woman paid attention to the details of the treachery...you have to keep your eyes open, even when the enemy thinks you're sleep.
You have to know what belongs to know sight on seen...
The enemy will switch your life for his death, so you have to know what your life looks like. Too many time we lay our lives down, but never pay attention to what our life looks like. Complacency causes suffocation.
What your kids become may not be their fault, it might be they were in your life too much...

1 Corinthians 2:9
But, as it is written,
“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the heart of man imagined,
what God has prepared for those who love him”—
Solomon hears the case and since no one is here to concur with the woman's story...the absence of the father for either child, so he decides to do something radical to remove all doubt about who the real mother was. Often, God will put you in radical situations to get to the "real you." Most will never see the real you until you are willing to do something radical. "When you present your problem to the king, you have to be prepared for the radical answer."
"Maybe don't do things the way you have always done them simply because that is the way you have always done them."
There can be no flow without the spirit of flexibility. Allow yourself to be flexible. When we walk into situations feelings so sure of who we are and what we know, we are unable to create space for others or for our own personal growth. When we are flexible, we open ourselves to mountains of possibilities, new ideas, and revelations. To be in flow means to be able to move through the world with the ability to roll with whatever comes up. There is no way to do this if the energy you embody is rigid and stubborn. Loosen up.
