A Missions Mindset

Ecclesiastes 11:1

I. Liberality in giving is the glory of the faithful.

A. We give what we have.

Bread is that which we find in the Lord’s prayer. It is our daily necessity.

Bread is also our spiritual life as Jesus is the bread of life (John 6).

B. We give to all without dissimulation.

Waters are metaphoric for people every where.

II. Caution in this area leads to covetousness.

We must beware of a stingy heart that imparts nothing.

III. The principal lies at the heart of faith.

A. It takes faith to give the limited resources we have.

B. It takes faith to realize that it is God alone who multiplies what we have.
