What Is Faithfulness?

God Is Faithful To Complete What He Starts

1 Thessalonians 5:24 ESV

24 He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.

“The same God who calls a Christian will perform this by the Holy Spirit who indwells him. God is faithful to bring to completion the work He has begun in believers (Phil. 1:6). God does not save a person by grace and then leave him alone to work out his Christian growth by works (Gal. 3:3). As God calls and justifies by grace, He sanctifies by grace too.”

Our Fidelity To God Depends On His Faithfulness Toward You

1 Thessalonians 5:23–28 ESV

23 Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it. 25 Brothers, pray for us. 26 Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss. 27 I put you under oath before the Lord to have this letter read to all the brothers. 28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

“The kindness and love of God had appeared to them in calling them to the knowledge of his truth, and the faithfulness of God was their security that they should persevere to the end; and therefore, the apostle assures them, God would do what he desired; he would effect what he had promised; he would accomplish all the good pleasure of his goodness towards them. God’s Promise To Not Violate His Own Promise

Psalm 89:28–34 ESV

28 My steadfast love I will keep for him forever, and my covenant will stand firm for him. 29 I will establish his offspring forever and his throne as the days of the heavens. 30 If his children forsake my law and do not walk according to my rules, 31 if they violate my statutes and do not keep my commandments, 32 then I will punish their transgression with the rod and their iniquity with stripes, 33 but I will not remove from him my steadfast love or be false to my faithfulness. 34 I will not violate my covenant or alter the word that went forth from my lips.

God’s Faithfulness Will Prevail

“While God promises to discipline those who unrepentantly forsake His law, His steadfast love and faithfulness will ultimately prevail.”

God’s Proven Faithfulness

Psalm 106:7–8 ESV

God Is Faithful Toward You To No Allow Unbearable Burden

13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

The Faithfulness Of God Protects You

God’s Establishment Of You

“He will establish you God showed His faithfulness by preserving the Thessalonians while they were persecuted ().”

God will protect you in the midst of your trails. It may not seem like so, but His protection is always present and active in the life of those that submit to Him.
